You can disable the notification in the App Info (in System Settings -> Apps) by unchecking “Show Notifications”. This was introduced somewhere between 4.0 and 4.3 iirc.
Ah yes, but then if you add some other notifications which I could potentially find useful, I am stuffed.

I hope this is the correct forum thread.
I just wanted to know if it’s possible to add an icon for the Notification area to show that Syncthing is running please? I can see it when I swipe down to see all the notifications, but there is no icon at the top of the phone screen all the time, which would be nice as an option.
Also, may I congratulate you all on a fantastic piece of software. It’s bleeding marvellous!

PS: yes, I left BTSync too.
Issue raised and ‘fixed’ within a week. Thank you SO much for providing this feature in the latest Android version. This app goes from strength to strength! Donating again now…
