syncthing-android is discontinued. This board has a discussion of that. But should there be a FAQ entry? I apologise if I miss something.
That would probably be a good idea.
I think the link on Community Contributions — Syncthing v1.29.1 documentation to the discontinued app should also go 2nd with a clear remark that the fork is the way to go now. (Or maybe the link should just be removed entirely for the sake of simplicity.)
If you want to get involved, you can try updating the documentation yourself by creating a PR.
