Multiple times now I put my laptop to sleep (systemctl suspend
) only to find its fans spinning madly minutes later. Looking into the process monitor I see syncthing occupying a performance-core 100% of the 12th Gen Intel i7-1260P in my Framework Laptop.
I use syncthingtray on Manjaro Sway Arch Linux.
I guess the fact that it is not using an E-core is rather a problem of the OS, any suggestions to force syncthing to that?
I have gone through all related threads I found:
- How can I prevent Syncthing from waking up my PC in standby → only about WOL
- Snycthing waking computer → Windows
- Syncthing prevents Linux suspend - #4 by Ataraxy → suggestion of disabling file watches which I will try but does not seem like a solid soludtion
