I have a second Mac and setup Syncthings, there are big folders to sync, and via home WIFI it takes a long time. Would it work to simply connect both computers via USB C?
Syncthing communicates using IPv4 and/or IPv6. If you can get networking to work over USB, then Syncthing can use it.
