Windows shell icon overlay for status

I was wondering if there’s an addon or separate program that would display the status of directories that are synchronized with syncthing. I see one topic related to this, but overall it seems that this feature doesn’t yet exist. Windows - Icon for sync status ?

I would consider writing a separate program that would support this, I just don’t want to do something that already exists.

There is nothing like that available. Just a suggestion, but if you’re capable of coding this yourself, have you perhaps considered contributing to SyncTrayzor (see https://forum.syncthing.net/t/reviving-synctrayzor/24198)? I think this functionality could fit it quite well .
