Why do I have Out of Sync Items?

Hello, I am new to Synchthing and have looked through similar topics without being able to join the dots in a way that resolved my issue, whether covered before or not.

I am using syncthing to sync my Obsidian Vault between my Macbook Pro and My Android Device.

I have three ‘Out of sync Items’ and the syncing process is 99% complete.

It is not clear to me at all why these three files are anomalies within this folder.

This issue seems to appear before selecting a folder on my android device.

Once I do select a folder on my android device, I can see a message that also appears to be relevant suggesting I use ‘Material Files’ App for compatibility. I have this app on my android device with no change to the ‘Out of Sync Items’. I am not sure the problem is here as I said, the problem arises before selecting a folder to sync too.

Any help would be much appreciated. Apologies if this is basic, I haven’t made sense of it as a newcomer!

Can you post screenshots of the Syncthing Web GUI from both devices? Please make sure to include the problematic filenames that cannot be synced. On Android, you can access the Web GUI from the left slide-out menu.

Let me know if there are any other screenshots that help solve this issue, Thank You.

Something seems wrong with the Android app, as it fails to load the Web GUI (even though Syncthing itself seems to be running fine in the background).

However, the culprit is ? in the filenames. Android doesn’t support such characters. If you want to sync those files to Android, you need to rename them and remove the question marks.

Okay! Thanks for pointing this out. I still have a bit to learn with Syncthing.
