Which hidden files / folders does syncthing make?

I’ve used a few different backup / sync programs on my desktop over time, so I have a bunch of hidden files/folders in my synced / backuped folders. Mainly I have a bunch of .sync_[random characters].db such as “.sync_161d29b60d4c.db” or similar things such as “.sync_3d3631211768.db-wal”. I think these were made by NextCloud which I no longer use but I just wanted to make sure they weren’t made my syncthing before I go through deleting them and then my whole setup stops working. Can’t find anything on these files specifically.

From my understanding syncthing only uses .stfolder and .stignore folders/files in synced folders?

Thanks for any help

(Also just wanted to make it clear before someone thinks I use syncthing for backup’s, I don’t. I’ve seen a lot of people asking about this and others needing to explain why they shouldn’t be doing that, so dont want to waste anyone’s time.)

Syncthing does use temporary files during synchronization. These start with .syncthing. on Unix (and ~syncthing~ on Windows). These are usually automatically removed, but in rare cases may remain on the file system for up to 24 hours. Deleting them won’t break anything.

.sync_ doesn’t sound like syncthing.
