Watcher not detecting file changes

Pretty much the title. I have the watcher setting enabled but file changes are not being detected.

I’m using syncing a folder between a mac and windows laptop. Creating/editing/deleting files from MacOS, Windows, and WSL doesn’t work. The watcher doesn’t detect them and I’m having to manually rescan for changes to propagate.

Just to clarify, on the windows laptop Syncthing is installed on windows and not WSL.

Is the folder located on the local disk, or is it some kind of network storage (or any other non-standard storage type)?

It’s on the local disk on both computers.
