Upgraded to v2.0.2 and Cannot Authenticate

Hi, I upgraded to 2.0.2 on two computers. After the upgrade, I was asked to Authenticate but Syncthing would not accept my credentials - even though they were saved in the browser. (Not very secure, I know.)

  • Anyone else experience same?
  • Any thoughts on recovering?
  • Or starting fresh?

As for recovering: you can recover from the need for a password by manually editing the config file and removing the gui→password item. Restart syncthing, then open the gui, then set a password again.

Have you tried restarting the browser (and maybe the OS)? I’ve had a similar problem recently, but a simple browser restart helped :sweat_smile:.

If that doesn’t help, I think you can proceed with the tip to remove the password from the config file.
