Hello,
in the last upgrade report I reported that a device which took 13/14 minutes to sync all folders after startup was reduced to 6 minutes with 2.0.9. Now, with 2.0.10 the same system with only slightly modified payload take 9 minutes. Here is the difference on the payload side:
- Was with 2.0.9
- files: 205k files
- size: 800GB on disk
- DB: ~ 1 GB
- Devices: 4
- Is with 2.0.10
- files: 208k
- size: 805 GB on disk
- DB: ~ 1 GB
- Devices: 4
A difference in performance during use is not noticeable in my setup. So this is only about start up time of syncthing. However, I must say I received a linux kernel update between those points in time so there is a chance that this has nothing to do with syncthing at all! This is basically the reason for this post, I would like to understand if someone else sees a similar effect? If not, then please ignore this post.
