I am Using Linux mint & a Android device. the Linux is connected to the hotspot of the Android & it was unable to find the device, I added the ID of each others device yet it is showing Last Seen: never.
It’s possible that your Android hotspot is preventing discovery. Can the Devices ping one-another? If you open Actions / Settings / Connections are both Devices’ Sync Protocol Listen Addresses set to Default or something else? Can you add their IP addresses manually?
It is likely with the info you have given us that Syncthing isn’t even running on your Android device! Syncthing-Fork has some run conditions in which it will run (e.g. doesn’t run on mobile data by default).
You can check whether it’s running in the “Status” section.
If you want to allow Syncthing to run on mobile data for example, open the drawer on the left side, and enable Settings → Run Conditions → Run on mobile data.
Could be that your firewall is preventing the connection? Try disabling the firewall.
