Trash Can File Versioning only shows "No data." in GUI

I’m using Syncthing for a long time now, but never tried file versioning. Yesterday, I enabled “Trash Can File Versioning” for two folders and “Staggered File Versioning” (no custom folder) for another.

While the latter shows all files/versions correctly, after I click on “Versions” in the GUI, the former two always show “No data.”. Looking at the file system, I can see that the versioning itself works fine (files are put in .stversions folder), but it seems this isn’t reflected in the GUI.

I’m not sure if this is a bug or a feature?

Some of the versioning types (the ones that do not tag file names with timestamps) are not supported in the UI.

Ok, thank you for the clarification.

In this case it would seem logical to remove or show but grey out the “Versions” button. Just an idea.

I’m sure there are reasons, but I wonder why the more complex use case is supported by the GUI, but not the most simple one? I guess there is/was just no one to implement it, yet.

We should fix all versioners to support it rather than graying out stuff. As you’ve said, someone needs to get off their ass and do it.
