"The following items were changed locally" – but they weren't

I have Syncthing running on a Mac, and a QNAP. The QNAP has a send-only folder which the Mac receives-only.

The Mac has a drive mapped to a Synology. It stores its data there. I just created this folder for this specific purpose: nobody is accessing it for any other reason.

The Mac is reporting that “The following items were changed locally” for many of the files. When scanning has finished it might be as many of all of them.

They’re large RAW files, .NEF.

I thought Btrfs checksumming on the Synology might be the cause. Turned off. No change.

More strange, if I compare the checksums of the two files, one on the QNAP, one on the Synology, they’re identical.

Any idea how I can troubleshoot this? How is Syncthing determining that the file has changed? As far as I can determine, it has not.

Additional info: these are two fresh installs of Syncthing. Everything is as default as it can be.

Please make sure that “Ignore Permissions” is enabled in the folder settings (in the Advanced tab).

Aha. Thank you sir.
