I wanted to say thank you to whoever designed and implemented the feature to ignore updates from a node that no longer has a .stfolder. I had a bash script go awry on one of my Linux boxes and I didn’t catch it before it had deleted 20+ GB from my syncthing folders. However, thanks to that circuit breaker feature, Syncthing didn’t propagate the changes to the rest of the cluster and I was able to restore everything.
Syncthing has been running flawlessly since the v2 upgrade across my devices (Windows, Linux and Android). Huge kudos for having such a smooth transition even after making significant changes under the hood.
