Synctrayzor won't start on login - There's always another instance already running!

Hi all. I’m having trouble getting Synctrayzor to initialize properly.

When i log in to my account (win11) i can see the Synctrayzor icon on the tray, but it’s greyed out. When i open it, i get a message reporting that another instance is already running. I have to close all other processes and then start it again, and it works fine.

However this is not ideal, i’ve set this up in a local network for work and i would like for other people to be able to log in to their accounts and have synctrayzor already running, instead of having to open the greyed out icon, closing other instances, and then starting it up again.

If i log in and go to the Web UI, it works fine. So to my ignorant mind this is probably the syncthing instance that is running before synctrayzor.

I tried looking into the syncthing’s Web UI settings but i can’t find an option to disable starting the sw on log in. There’s an option for that in synctrayzor but nothing changes.

I can provide logs if necessary.

Thanks in advance, for reading this.

Welcome Depofiocam,

Did you install Syncthing separately? And if you did, where did you download it from? (the URL would be helpful)

This typically happens if another syncthing install is on the same system, for instance Syncthing Windows Setup which is also configured to auto-start syncthing on boot. Then you have two syncthing installations that conflict with each other.
