I’m having trouble where occasionally Synctrain doesn’t find all the images In a shared folder so not everything is transferred. In this case I use Synctrain to copy all favorited images to my laptop. Sometimes it works and the image count transferred matches the image count favorited. Sometimes there are images missing. See the attached screenshot. Note these are all images (from the same camera). No videos.
I’m not sure what info would be helpful to the authors @pixelspark to diagnose it…
My only solution is to export all the images to the files app which I’m trying to avoid.
Hm, could be items in iCloud, or items not supported by Synctrain (videos/live photos for photo folders, there might be others). I could also envision scenarios where there are duplicates. Maybe you can see this in the logging (with a photo backup, it should mention every asset that is processed).
They are all the same “type”. Still images in JPG form.
There are definitely no duplicates.
They are not stored in iCloud
I transfer a few thousand pics to the tablet and then favorite the ones I wanna keep.
The only thing I can think is it’s possible some of these were “edited” on the tablet and maybe those are the ones not being transferred? If I crop a photo does that make it not transferable this way?
