I have installed syncthing on my unraid server, and on my qnap NAS.
The QNAP goes to sleep, and I believe this is why syncthing is erroring out and not keeping my files synced.
Can syncthing send a WOL packet to wake up the QNAP so it can sync?
Syncthing doesn’t push, it pulls. If the device where the changes are made is asleep, it can’t detect changes and tell the other that there are. If the device getting the changes is asleep, it can’t ask the other one if there are changes. So to have syncthing sync you have to disable auto sleep.
If syncthing where to implement WOL, it would send a WOL packet each time it tries to connect, which is every minute or so.
