It seems with this release compared to v1.27.6 macOS 10.13 compatibility was broken. Got three issue complains in the syncthing/syncthing-macos repository. Yes and macOS compatibility for 12.7 is latest supported by Apple and the Golang toolchain will drop support along the way.

Quite possible. There was a minor patch upgrade to the Go runtime (1.22.2 to 1.22.3) and something might have slipped in there. Support for macOS 10.13 was removed in Go 1.21, the lowest currently supported is 10.15 (Catalina). Go 1.23 will require macOS 11 Big Sur or later.
