Does the app update the syncthing binary automatically and independently from the app itself? Or they are bundled? My app is still running .26 syncthing …
It’s bundled. It needs to be build differently and has to be compatible to the App, so it cannot just update itself.

Anyone knows how often the Android app gets updated and re-built?
Approximately monthly, according to F-Droid’s archive.
I just released a new version 
And there’s no fixed update schedule, I just make a new version whenever there are significant enough changes from the last version.
