I have seen mention of syncthing server. I see there are discovery and relay servers. Is there any advantage in an organisation running either of these?
Is there also a server which actually has the files on it? One of the problems in our organisation is that most of the time, there is noone with syncthing running. So if you need to sync a new dir, you have to wait till someone comes on line, or fires up syncthing. If there was a server which was online all the time, it would help.
Syncthing is decentralized, is doesn’t rely on a server. There is no server version but you can set up an always on device to ensure there is always a device available.
