Hello! Maybe you have some ideas. I have two devices A and B with a folder in which the file “User_Profile.vhdx” is stored. This is a roaming user profile. This file is constantly changing when opened by the user and Syncthing tries to sync it. I don’t want this file to syncthing while it is open by the user. When the profile file is used, a text file “User_Profile.vhdx.metadata” is created next to it. But there seems to be no way to explain to Syncthing not to sync the folder while there is some file in it
Yeah, you cannot do this with just Syncthing alone. You could utilise some kind of custom script that would simply keep looking for the file present and then add the other file (or the whole folder) to the ignore patterns (or pause the folder in Syncthing). Once the first file is gone, the script would then clear the ignore patterns (or resume the folder).
