Hi, I installed Syncthing on my QNAP NAS from here:
All works good and I can also add Folders and the Folders will be syncronized.
But how can I access my files on the NAS?
Default Path was /home/syncthing/
User ‘syncthing’ on NAS was created after installing Syncthing.
But I can’t login with User syncthing to NAS because I don’t know the password. Is there a default password? To set the password for that user failed on NAS.
I can’t access /home/syncthing/ with my “normal” QNAP User…
I think is same as to Synology, in that way, that a user or group is also installed, maybe called “sc-syncthing” or similar and that you need to connect to the folders. Maybe a reboot of the NAS is needed.
Sure, there is a User called ‘syncthing’ and in Folders in Syncthing are synronized to /home/syncthing…but with my QNAP Account I don’t have access to that Folder, I have no password to login with the syncthing user and I also don’T see that Folder in FileStation…
If I give access to other Folders to the syncthing user he can’t access these folders if I try to sync something to that folders…
SO syncthing is running and it looks like he syncronized all teh files fine, but it make no sense if I can’t access these files…
Any Ideas? Is there a standard password for that user? I tried to change the password, but it don’t work.
