Syncthing on Mac OS Catalina

After the latest Syncthing update to v2.0.14-1 Syncthing now throws an error and fails to run.

I tried reinstalling the previous version but this didn’t help.

Mac OS version is 10.15.8 on a Late 2012 Mac Mini.

I got an error message after the initial upgrade but since I clean installed Syncthing latest version I’m getting nothing. The process is running but nothing works. Also can’t open http://127.0.0.1:8384/

Thank you for your assistance.

The last Go version to officially support 10.15 was Go 1.22, and the latest Syncthing version built with that was v1.27.12 from September 2024. You might want to find and download that, disable auto upgrades.

Fantastic! That worked perfectly! I even got all my settings back, I thought I’d have to resync everything.

One question. To disable autoupgrade is it enough to blank the Releases URL field in Advanced Settings?

Better is Settings / General / Automatic upgrades and set to No upgrades.

That one says “Unavailable/Disabled by administrator or maintainer”.

Makes sense because it always prompted me for upgrades. So I just need to remember to say no from now on.

I think putting Linux on this machine might be a better long-term solution.

Thanks for your help and for this brilliant software.
