I have installed Syncthing on a Synology DS410 (processor FREESCALE PowerQUICC III 8533e) using the community package (version 0.14.49-15) installed via the synology package manager in DSM 5.2-5967 Update 8. The package installs but when I attempt to start it, it shows loading but then remains in the stopped state. The log just shows “Starting syncthing command /volume1/@appstore/syncthing/bin/syncthing -home=/volume1/@appstore/syncthing/var” My knowledge of linux systems is almost non-existant so I really don’t know where or how to look to find out what the problem is. I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to go about resolving the problem. Thanks in advance.
The problem is most likely Synology specific, and while it is possible that someone with Synology knowledge sees it here, you’d be better off asking this in a Synology specific forum.
