Syncthing for PPC

Hi, I would like to completely switch from btsync and I think many people will take this step as they introduced the 10 folder limit for their free version recently. The main thin preventing me from doing this is that there is no Syncthing version that I coul install on my WD MyBookLive NAS (PPC).

I read the threads on Github and learned that apparently it is not easy to compile Syncthing for PPC. I have to admit that I do not know much about compiling but I would like to learn whether there is really no possibility to get Syncthing running on a PPC architecture.

Also, is it known whether this affects only a minority? I think in a ‘Dropbox replacing’ setup you need at least one NAS that is always on and there are several consumer NAS that are running a PPC architecture right?

You could check this discussion here, but I personally haven’t tried it yet.

I haven’t tried this yet: http://lookanotherblog.com/syncthing-for-linux-ppc/

But I have the same setup as you. Wd mybooklive with a ppc proc and maybe I’ll give it a shot.

Wd mycloud is arm based on the other hand.
