I’m currently running Syncthing between my NAS (TrueNAS Scale), and my PC (Endeavour OS). I set up one of the folders around a week ago, as a test, and it works fine. Then yesterday I tried to actually set up all the folders I need and instead of having the contents of the NAS, it just creates shows an empty folder, with any files I put into the corresponding folder on the PC. I’ve checked the file paths and they should be fine, and the permissions and all the settings I can find are identical. Between setting up the first folder and the others I switched from windows to endeavour, but I don’t see how that would affect if syncthing can find the files on the NAS. Also I just removed and remade the file that works, and it seems to work fine but I can’t be 100% sure since it was already synced. I’ve attached screenshots of an example that doesn’t work, and the file that worked at least at the start. Sorry if I explained it badly, and maybe I’m missing something obvious but idk.
Can you post full (i.e. non-cropped) screenshots of the Syncthing web GUI from all involved devices?
Can you share the same screenshot again but with the relevant folder information unfolded (on both sides)?
Empty folder on TrueNAS is generally always that you haven’t mapped the volumes into the container.
Ok, is there any chance you could send a link to the relevant documentation, or explain how to fix/test if its the problem because I’m a little bit new to this and don’t really understand sorry.
Sorry, don’t know, not really a TrueNAS user but I’ve seen the same threads here many times.
Fair enough, thanks for the help anyway ![]()
