Syncthing changed Windows permissions and they stayed after uninstall

Hi,

Syncthing appears to have changed ownership and ACLs on a Windows folder. The permission changes persisted after uninstalling, and I had to manually reset permissions to recover access for other apps.

Do you have an official cleanup or rollback method for Windows that restores permissions Syncthing changed? If not, what is the recommended way to undo this?

I can provide logs and folder details if needed.

Thanks.

Subject: Need help undoing Syncthing permission changes on Windows

Hi,

Syncthing changed folder permissions/ownership on my Windows system, and uninstalling did not revert them. I had to manually reset ACLs to fix the damage.

Is there an official rollback/cleanup tool or documented recovery process for this?

Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, Syncthing does not ever change Windows file permissions or ownership. I strongly suspect that you have something else going on.
