Syncthing can't detect specific Folder Type?

Idk if this is a bug but i think Syncthing can’t detect these types of folders. They wont sync between any devises. Idk how these folder types are named. I hope this can be fixed or support for these folder types can be added in the future. These are created automatically by a Mod Manager so i can’t just change these folders to “normal” ones.

I’ll need more info to understand this. What makes you say that Syncthing cannot detect these folders? Please show us screenshots of the web UI.

What things are synced?

The following may be synchronized or not, depending:

  • Symbolic links (synced, except on Windows, but never followed)

The following are not synchronized:

  • Windows junctions (synced as ordinary directories; require enabling in the configuration on a per-folder basis)

As you can see here, Syncthing says that the folders are up to date but when i look on my other device, none of these folders appear. If i put any other file in the folder, (The “0000 - Test Folder” for example) they get syncronized just fine. Just these folder types wont be moved over.

Maby this is actually an compability issue with Windows and Linux? Idk.

EDIT:

I tested if i can share just the content of one of these folders directly and that works fine again. Its just Syncthing doesnt detect these folder types directly. Im gonna ask the maker of the Mod Manager what folder types they are and how they are named.

EDIT:

okay the ccreator of the Mod Manager said this and i think thats the issue here. can Syncthing maby do anything about this? Or could it support symbolic links in the future?

Sorry, no. See Add an option to follow symlinks instead of syncing them "as is" · Issue #1776 · syncthing/syncthing · GitHub .
