Syncing MacOS Documents in Sequoia with iCloud sync enabled

I am getting ready to use syncthing to set up an Ubuntu home server to sync Documents (among other things) from my MacBook, and then ultimately to my Ubuntu laptop. This is a new MacBook running Sequoia, and I have Documents and Desktop sync enabled in iCloud, to make my files available in iOS as well. I have “optimize this mac” DISABLED, to ensure local copies of my files are kept on the Mac.

I seem to remember that turning on Documents and Desktop in iCloud used to move the local copies of the files to a new folder inside the Library folder. But, poking around in the finder, it seems like under Sequoia, the files are in fact in /Users/accountname/Documents, exactly where they “should” be, although this folder is now hidden by default.

Is this in fact the file path to tell Syncthing about? Or am I missing something?

Thank you!

For anyone who wants to know, the answer is, yep, they’re back in the Documents folder!
