Synchronization of folders requiring root access.

I am currently using Syncthing-fork v2.0.10 ( GitHub - researchxxl/syncthing-android: Syncthing-Fork - A Syncthing Wrapper for Android. ), on android 11, (32-bit ARM) tvbox. I have root access and I use the /data/local/tmp folder as one of the sync points. As I understand it, the app has changed its developer. Will I be able to synchronize the /data/local/tmp folder as before? Will I be able to upgrade seamlessly from Syncthing-fork v2.0.10, or do I need to save the settings, delete the current version, and reinstall syncthing-android from researchxxl?

Root access has been removed from the app, so if you rely on it, you should not upgrade. You may want to keep an eye on the GitHub repository in case it gets restored. There is at least one open issue with an ongoing discussion about that.
