Sync via IPSec VPN

I have the software on an Ubuntu machine at work that I want to sync with my laptop (Fedora linux) when out of the office. When I connect back to the office via ipsec vpn I can ping between the machines but syncing does not occur.

I have the “Sync Protocol Listen Addresses” option set to default on both sides. What am I missing?

VPNs typically don’t support multicast which is required for discovery. You might need to set specific IP addresses.
