Sync only files and folders with a name pattern

How could I sync only the files and folders with a certain name pattern (lets say sync)? is this posible with the “ignoring files” option?

Just for the record, as I’ve seen many people on the forum struggling with this particular aspect, all information that you need is available at https://docs.syncthing.net/users/ignoring.html. To be more specific, you need to negate your patterns with ! (check the attached examples) and also pay attention to the pattern order, because it does make a difference in this case.
