Sync multiple devices

Newbie :slight_smile: Ok I am trying to understand the proper way to setup folder sync between multiple devices. I am a little confused. Say 2 PCs, a smartphone and a tablet all share the exact same folder, 2 way sync. What is the correct topology to connect these? Each device with each device? How many folder entries do I expect to see under “Folder” tab What is the correct sequence to connect?

I am finding that everytime I share, the recipient device expects to CREATE a new folder entry (regardless of whether one exists or not)

Did you follow the getting started guide, documentation, faq?

I think what you are asking is fairly well covered by the docs.

There is no “correct”, that applies to both such questions. Whatever seems most useful to you. A complete mesh (every device with every other) is fine, but missing links also OK. The sequence does not matter at all.

You should see one folder listed on each device. Unless you want to share several folders, possibly with different settings.

Thanks got it I redid it and now all is good

  1. Everything to everything
  2. Only one folder should show. If multiple, find the ID you want to keep and delete the others

Works really well. Very happy
