Sync conflicts appear out of nowhere

Hi, I want to synced some music and pdf between a Windows device and an Android device. I first copied the files and checked that the all the files are the same (hash), then I turned on syncing.

It seems to me that the only thing that should happen is syncthing computing the hash of the files. No files transfer should occur and no files should be modified. However, after the sync is complete, I compared the files again. Now there are sync conflicts, and files with the same name having different hash. The music and pdf look the same and I can’t tell what changed.

Can you try comparing the modification times? If you just copied them to Android, the OS has likely reset their mtime to the current date.

The modification times are the same, because I first copied the files to an unmounted SD card and the sync directory is the directory on the SD card.
