Hello friends,
I’m on lineageOS 22 with microG. Location permission is granted.
When my phone connects to my personal (whitelisted) WiFi, Syncthing will not activate. It says
- “SSID of present WiFi is not on the whitelist or no location permissions were granted”.
- I can go to settings, open the WiFi whitelist, see my WiFi checked, close it
- Then Syncthing will be activated.
What can I do to make it connect straightforward? - Is microG known to be problematic with location permissions?
Cheers,
Wolf
Can you verify that the app is allowed to access location “all the time”? There are two types of location access - “while using the app” and “all the time”, and Syncthing needs the latter.

Wow, till now your solution works. Thank you very much, man, you solved a really long-living problem.
Can I flag this thread as “solved”? - Couldn’t find how… ):
Cheers,

Location permissions on Android are convoluted, but I’m glad I could help
.
We don’t do that here, but you could add “solved” to the topic’s title or to the first post. I like to do that for my own support threads.
