How do I remove the Syncthing icon from the Windows 10 taskbar? It doesn’t do anything useful, it’s just clutter. I googled but found no hits.
It depends very much on how you installed and started Syncthing in the first place. Are you using one of the GUI wrappers? Double-clicking the .exe file or a link to it?
There is the --no-console flag described in Syncthing — Syncthing v1 documentation. If it’s actually a console window showing up in your taskbar, that might solve your issue.
Huh, I’ve run it today and there is no icon on the taskbar! So it must have been a glitch, probably due to messing about with a different setup.
