Remote Device Disconnected, error handling index update folder is not running

Hi there, we have Syncthing running on Synology devices at a local and remote location. We have just updated to v2.0.13 on both ends as well as updating DSM to the latest version. Since then, we have started running into an error where the remote NAS is displayed in a Disconnected state, and the error logs show a repeated error:

2026-01-13 12:42:39 INF Lost device connection (kind=primary device=XXXXXXX connection=192.168.1.28:22001-146.5.224.78:22001/tcp-client/TLS1.3-TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256/WAN-P30-64A4RH87BMIVA43JU4J14A34PO error=“handling index-update for bbbbb-bbbbb: bbbbb-bbbbb: folder is not running” remaining=0 log.pkg=model)

If I pause the sync of the folder with that folder ID, it gets out of the Disconnected state. If I restart Syncthing, it’s ok for a bit but then falls back into this state.

I’ve attached a screenshot and excerpts of the log from both ends with identifying data replaced with dummy data.

I’d appreciate any pointers with what we can check, thank you.
