I recently a new machine to receive some files in a setup that has worked for years. Node B was recently replaced with a new machine.
I have NodeA set to send only mode for one share. I have NodeB set to receive only mode for the same share
If I delete some files from the NodeB share within a few hours it will be downloaded again from NodeA. The main difference (should it be relevant) is that the new machine (NodeB) is syncing to an NFS share, not sure if that matters or not.
That’s how “Send Only” and “Receive Only” are meant to work. If you want Send Only and Receive Only and don’t want all files synced between the two, consider using an Ignore Pattern.
I don’t think that’s the case here. At the very least, the GUI should display the “Revert Local Changes” button, but it should not download the deleted files again

People keep asking for automatic revert so this would be a feature then

The expected behavior is located at Folder Types — Syncthing documentation. A Send Only Folder should note that the Receive Only side has changed and offer an Override Changes button, not silently override the changes.
