I have added some files to ignore. but syncthing keeps on scanning it.
What do you mean by “scanning” exactly? If you mean that Syncthing simply keeps accessing the files, then that’s probably expected, as it needs to check whether their names are ignored or not.
However, if you mean that the files just aren’t ignored, then please post your ignore patterns and a few sample filenames which are supposed to be covered by them.
I want to syncthing to ignore the folder completely, and not even check its contents
