Permissions

I have set up several Sync operations with no issues but seem to be having a problem with this one:

The Paragon directory holds user files and they are not in use. Permissions is identical to others I have in use, but I get this:

Paragon error while traversing /Paragon: permission denied

What is traversing and how do I give it permissions? I have tried Sync Permissions and Ignore Permissions as well with no luck.

First: What OS is the device running Paragon?

Second: What is the user that owns the Syncthing process?

Third: What rights does that user have to the /Paragon directory?

The answers to those questions will likely result in the answer to your Syncthing issue. My best guess is that you need to use Ignore Permissions and grant the user that owns the Syncthing process access to those files.

Thanks for the fast response:

Running via Docker (Linux version) on uGreen NAS

Process is owned by admin group, user is a member

Full access read/write permissions

I’m not smart about Syncthing / container / file rights issues.

No worries, I appreciate your attempt.

I know in the end this will be something minor that I missed somewhere, after all everything else is working fine in the same universe. I’m just hoping someone here can give me a clue as to what to look for. Have a good night and thanks again
