Permission of file saved by Syncthing

Hi to everyone,

i need some help for permission of the file create by syncthing in a Asustor NAS. All file created from syncthing are generated with pemission 644 and service start as root.

Can someone explain to me how to run as normal used and modify the umask?

The same way you do it for any other program you run on your NAS: Run syncthing as the desired user and usually set the UMASK environment variable. That may not be trivial on Asustor NAS, but that’s a question better suited to Asustor forums. As in it’s more likely someone knows about it - well hopefully
