A folder shows ‘Out of Sync’ on mobile (Syncthing-Fork on Android), but ‘Up to Date’ on desktop.
Syncthing-Fork’s Web GUI shows four ‘Out of Sync Items’. These four items are not found on my mobile device. So Syncthing-Fork’s ‘Out of Sync’ message is correct. The ‘Up to Date’ displayed on desktop must be incorrect. I tried ‘Rescan’ on my desktop, it doesn’t help to solve the issue.
The new items I create on the folder are syncing between these two devices. Only those 4 items are left out. Can you please help me solve this issue?
Can you show screenshots of the Syncthing web GUI from both sides? Also, can you show the problematic file names themselves? These issues are usually caused by using characters that Android doesn’t support (e.g. /\<>:"|?* and a few others).
The fact that the desktop shows “Up To Date” for the same folder is not a display issue. For a folder, it tells you whether the device itself has caught up a
with the latest known state from others. Whether a remote device has caught up as well, you need to check on its own GUI, or in the “Remote Devices” section of the local GUI. That’s a common misunderstanding, but logical once you know about it.
