Hi and sorry, if this has been already resolved. I looked through a couple of existing threads, but haven`t found one with a similar problem.
My iOS devices (Möbius Sync on iPhone and iPad) report out-of-sync files with a NAS, even though all reported files are correctly present on both the NAS and the iOS devices.
Noteworthy:
This issue does not happen between a Windows PC and the NAS in the same network.
The affected files are months old and have been fully synced long ago, with no changes made since then.
The Mod. Device listed in out of Sync Items overview is an iPad that has been replaced recently, the new one received the same IP, device name, and has been reintroduced into Syncthing.
What`s the best fix for this? I am not even sure what could be the underlying issue…
Have you enabled “Ignore Permissions” in the folder’s advanced settings? This is generally recommended when syncing between different operating systems (and especially the various NAS solutions).
Just a side note, but please note that Möbius Sync is a proprietary solution, which has its own support channel, and we normally don’t support it here (unless the problem is something about Syncthing proper, not the wrapper).
Thanks Tomasz. Yes, I already had ‘ignore permissions’ set. Sorry, for posting this here. Is there a official iOS solution now? I haven`t found one. Just heard about Möbius and Synctrain.
Good to know. I already switched to Synctrain before your reply yesterday and do not regret it. Seams much better maintained, less convuluted and got a few features I missed on Moebius. It works now. Thank you! Btw. If you know the dev, then suggest a paid option, donations, kofi or anything. Or at least a sponsor button on their Github. I want to pay for it.
