Out of Sync index-v2 folder

I have a folder shared over multiple machines. It keeps staying in the state Syncing 99% on all devices.

The out of sync items in this case are all in the Index-v2 folder in .config.

Is that one needed to sync stuff or could I just e.g. put it on the ignore list?

You should never sync the database folder.

Are you syncing the whole Syncthing config folder?

Including the keys? The devices need to maintain their own configurations. I would exclude the whole config folder.

Even if not syncing it to a place where it’s used (which would indeed be disaster), any change to the database would be recorded in the database, so it would never be fully in sync.

It’s odd but that’s how it set up when installed it and created the share. It used to be it synced fully as well, but the last few months I had gotten consistent sync conflicts.

Just delete the shared folder from within st, then move all your personal files out of .config to a custom directory that you will share, just leaving in .config the keys, the certs, the xml file and the index dir+content.

A .name dir is seldom a personal data dir, mainly a config dir when created by any setup program
