Out of Sync between Linux and Android

Hello,

I use Syncthing to sync files between my Android phone and my Linux computer.

Yesterday it stopped working and I don’t understand why : my phone displays my folder as “out of sync”, and my computer displays my phone as “Syncing (99%)”, but it’s stuck.

I tried restarting and reinstalling Syncthing completely on both devices several times, to no avail. On Android I use Syncthing with Syncthing-Fork and on Linux I use Syncthingy. I don’t know from which device the issue come from.

I would be glad if someone could tell me how to get Syncthing working again. Thank you in advance.

Most likely, this would be a file naming error. Android forbids certain characters, so Syncthing cannot create files from the Linux computer with such invalid characters when syncing.

On the Android device the folder says “out of sync”, right? Look into the Web UI there and click on the count of unsynchronized items. It will show you the problematic paths.
