Hello, I want to use syncthing to create a folder which is linked to my pc backup program. The backup program would then save the backup to the folder which would transfer the huge backup file to my server hosting syncthing for storage. However I do not want these large backups to then also take up room on my computer. I just want these large files on my server. Is this achievable? (Basically creating a remote storage folder without saving a local copy)
Yes, search for https://forum.syncthing.net/search?q=ignoredelete. Please be aware though that this is more of a hack than the intended use case of Syncthing.
How about simply using some kind of an automatic script on the server that would simply move the files to a different location there (and, as a result, delete them from the Synching folder)?
