Official & alternative discoservers (list)

hi there! as discussed here, I just created two discoservers for reliability reasons in two different data centers. (for Android users: please use the ip addresses while hostname resolving is not supported as far as I know by the apps) Everyone is invited to post his own disco here

I am planning to sponsor a relayserver. Since it joins the relaypool by default, I think it is fine anyway

japā€¦ me too. will use one of my raspberrys

you could post it anyhow to motivate

v0.12 uses this set by default:

I think reliability there is better boosted by hosting a relay server. I wouldnā€™t suggest investing too much effort in the v0.11 discovery mechanism.

hey thereā€¦ I would like to update my first postā€¦ isnt this possible? oO

There is a timeout of a few days. Maybe @calmh could change the first post into a wiki post or something.

jupā€¦ only wanted to update that disco1 & disco2 are currently running v0.11

btw: whats the right syntax for the discos in the seetings in .12? https:// or the old one?

got

global@https://discovery-v4-1.syncthing.net: Post https://discovery-v4-1.syncthing.net: x509: certificate is valid for syncthing, not discovery-v4-1.syncthing.net global@https://discovery-v4-3.syncthing.net: Post https://discovery-v4-3.syncthing.net: net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection

global@https://discovery-v6-1.syncthing.net: Post https://discovery-v6-1.syncthing.net: net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection

global@https://discovery-v6-3.syncthing.net: Post https://discovery-v6-3.syncthing.net: net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection

Made it into a wiki, check the config.go for the syntax.

ahh I seeā€¦

For all others: After the update to .12 the old discoverys were deleted (ā€œwrong schemeā€) just add the string ā€œdefaultā€ to settings

update (maybe for wiki too) running discovery v0.12

relay is running too :relaxed:

didnt you put it into wiki? couldnt find it :frowning:

I made the post into a wiki, so you should be able to edit the first post.

edit: second little relay running

Have you really got an unmetered connection to those relays? I notice you donā€™t have any rate limits, so you may end up transferring an awful lot of dataā€¦

doesnt matter

Ill check the data consumption and will then maybe limit it

Iā€™m running those guys only for syncthing.no other purposeā€¦ so if my hosting company calls, I will need to limit it

Iā€™m not worrying. I just want to make sure you donā€™t get charged

Most hosts will just charge you more money: they wonā€™t call you. Linode, for example, charge $0.02/GB for extra bandwidth.

Are you using these guys? http://www.rz-muenchen.de/en/product-list/opensource-cloud . If so youā€™ve got 1TB, by the looks of things.

japā€¦ but Iā€™ve my little raspberry there @ rz-mĆ¼nchen. Using a fair flat for this isnt really fair but I will anyway limit the rate in some daysā€¦ :innocent:
