Kaspersky AntiVirus software is detecting not-a-virus:NetTool.Win32.TorTool.fsz in the latest version executable. Is it a reason to worry or it’s just a false positive?
It is a false-positive. Report it to your vendor as such.
For the record, the latest Windows binaries are still not signed (for why, see https://forum.syncthing.net/t/syncthing-v1-18-6-or-not/17816), and unsigned binaries in general tend to trigger various antivirus warnings, regardless of whether there’s any suspicious code in them or not.
“Not a virus” sounds good. The rest just sounds like it’s identified it as a tool that has to do with network stuff, and/or Tor, which is correct.
