No UPnP device detected Issue

Hello!

I am trying to run Syncthing on a desktop Ubuntu (14.04) at my workplace. I have tried to connect it both to an Android smart-phone and to a Windows 8 laptop. However, it replies:

STTRACE=upnp syncthing

but it does not work either. I obtain the following log:

Could you help me please?

Thank you very much!

It’s fairly unusual for a corporate environment to have upnp enabled, so I wouldn’t worry about this. If your actual issue is that stuff doesn’t connect I suggest looking into your firewalls and so on.

Thank you very much for your answer.

I am doing my best, but Syncthing still does not work. I apologize if my answers are silly.

I have opened the firewall ports according to http://docs.syncthing.net/users/firewall.html#firewall-setup . I used UFW (for the first time), and running

utf status

I get

Status: active
Logging: on (low)
Default: deny (incoming), allow (outgoing), disabled (routed)
New profiles: skip

To Action From
-- ------ ----
22 ALLOW IN Anywhere
22000/tcp ALLOW IN Anywhere
21025/udp ALLOW IN Anywhere
21026/udp ALLOW IN Anywhere
22 (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)
22000/tcp (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)
21025/udp (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)
21026/udp (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)

Is it alright?

what else should I check?

I have been looking for already raised similar issues since yesterday, but nothing works.

Thank you

This is local firewall. I assume you are in some company evironment in which case you also need to get port forwarding setup on the router, as per the same guide.

Thank you for your help. I cannot solve the problem, but at least I have learnt something.

Version 0.12 will include relay support which should provide a solution to your problem.

That sounds fantastic. Do you have any rough estimate of when version 0.12 is going to be released?

there is beta1 out Release v0.12.0-beta1 · syncthing/syncthing · GitHub you could test that
