Hello, I’ve been trying to transfer my files for about 2 hours now. I’m trying to transfer a file from my phone to my computer on the same 5GHz network. My connection type is TCP LAN. Only 1 GB of files have been transferred in 2 hours. My download speed is either very low or 0.
Please post screenshots of the Syncthing web GUI from both sides. On Android, you can access the web GUI from the left slide-out menu.
Everything does appear normal in the screenshots
. What are trying to sync specifically? Are most of these ~8,000 files located in a single folder? If yes, then that may be the culprit, because I/O access on Android begins to slow down greatly if the number of files in a single folder exceeds ~1,000.
You could also try upgrading the Android side to Syncthing v2, although I’m not really sure if doing so will have any effect on the issue at hand.
Except the download speed being zero while (supposedly) actively requesting blocks. ![]()
@Banko I think you’re having a speed of 0 B/s, with occasional transfer bursts when sending files from Android, correct? If that is true, I recommend you set your notifications to “Watching” on the Slow sync sending files from Android topic, as that seems to be about your problem.
This describes my issue too (and the system pinged me when you linked to that thread), so I was interested and looked and now I am feeling a bit sheepish as I did go to the thread you linked and can’t find any reference to the words notifications, notification, watch, or watching (using ctrl f and the in built search feature at the top right). I also checked your most recent github in that thread and I don’t see any references to there about those keywords either and now I feel crazy lol.
Please send help XD (thank you)
I actually linked to your post, not the thread itself, because it is at the tail of the thread and that is where the action happens.
Yikes. I thought it was an android setting, not a forum lol. Makes a lot more sense now.
Going to go hide in the sand now.
